Phil is well known and respected throughout the international Investment Funds community, and with the experience of over two decades in the financial services IT industry, Phil brings the B² team in-depth knowledge of specific sectors, particulary Mutual Funds, Clearing and Settlement. Phil is also experienced in the management of major capital IT projects, leading multi-disciplined teams and delivering to exacting deadlines. Phil began his career as an applications programmer in the City of London, working on the first automated stock exchange equity trade reporting and settlement systems during the period of deregulation in the 1980's, before becoming involved in Eurobond settlement, a move which eventually led him to work for Luxembourg based international clearing house Clearstream.

As a member of Clearstream's senior management, Phil was responsible for many mission-critical projects, the last of which was the build and subsequent client roll-out of Clearstream's pioneering Vestima fund order management platform between 1999 and 2001.

Market feedback regarding the lack of automation in the funds industry led Phil to co-found AB Prodata in 2002, and take to market the 'Babel Integrator' messaging platform, used by many of the world's largest financial institutions, providing automated solutions not only for funds, but many other asset classes (AB was subsequently acquired in 2006 by Bravura Solutions).

Convinced of the market need for outsourced value-added messaging, Phil joined B² Hub at its inception as CEO. Phil is overall responsible for product strategy, sales and client relationships, and besides his role at B² Hub, is actively involved with various market initiatives, presenting at conferences and writing for market journals.

Phil is British and lives with his wife and four children in Luxembourg.
